Water use on Douglas Creek canal has been minimal recently, and current remaining users plan on shutting off tomorrow, Friday the 30th of June. Growth of pondweed and moss in the canal has not been heavy as of yet, but is beginning to come on significantly. Therefore, I plan to make use of this non-demand window to shut Douglas canal off beginning tomorrow for a minimum of 7 days, or longer if demand is not required. This shut off is for the purpose of de-watering the canal to control pondweed and moss growth.
