Inflows to Nevada Creek reservoir have been slowly dropping over recent days while irrigation demand has remained steady. Inflows have been bolstered some with recent precipitation, but the rains have not been very significant. Reservoir storage levels have begun to drop to the point that we will need to change from designated “flood water” use to Contract Water use. Beginning tomorrow, Friday the 9th, all non-decreed irrigation water demand will be applied to contract.

I would also like to again remind irrigators on Nevada creek that we are now on a regulated creek flow. You need to contact me about your decreed water use on Nevada creek. Taking water from the creek without my knowledge results in inadequate flows causing others to be shorted their rightful water.
