NCWUA Update 5-1-24
Storage at Nevada Creek Reservoir is currently at 8,783 acre/feet, or 79% of capacity. Total inflows remain minimal and barring substantive increases in precipitation we cannot anticipate reaching capacity before user demand begins to consume storage. Therefore, we will need to place restrictions on delivery of contract water. Allowing for typical losses in delivery & other factors, we will plan initially for an allotment of 65% of total contract. Contract water user’s will need to adjust your irrigation plans. If conditions improve, this allotment will be raised accordingly.
Please note that the Current Status of Irrigation Rights are being updated on a regular basis and will continue to be updated throughout the irrigation season. Please refer to this listing and communicate with me before turning water on for decreed rights from Nevada creek. If you turn water on from the creek downstream of the dam without my knowledge and resulting flow adjustments, you will effectively be taking someone else’s water. Please respect your neighbor’s rights as much as your own. Your cooperation and understanding will go a long way to help make this a better season for all of us.
I have made several changes with the website in recent months. Most of these changes are not directly noticeable but should improve the performance of the site. I have added some new pages, particularly the new NCWUA Documents page. Hopefully you find some of it useful.
