Update for 6-16-15
Nevada creek flows have again dropped sharply over the last week. Current flows are in the 20% – 25% of normal range for this time of the season. It is important to note that the Current Status of Irrigation Rights is being updated on a near daily basis. For today, June 16th, the cut-off priority date for good rights is 1880-05-01.
Please have as much respect for your neighbors water rights as you do for you own. Everyone is short on decreed water right now. As always, I can assist with disputes when requested, and as time allows.
Contract Water
We have to date delivered 2011 Acre/feet of contract water for this season. Thus far, we are maintaining good storage in relation to the amount of contracted water that remains. Unless major losses are incurred, we should have no problems with delivering full contract to all contracted water users.
Please note though, that multiple sporadic changes in requests for delivery, especially on the canals system, results in much heavier loss ratios than normal. In order to further conserve water, it is requested that these types of changes be avoided if at all possible. Providing me with good lead time for expected changes goes a long way to raise our efficiency.
Thanks to all for your cooperation and patience. It’s “one of those years”.
