Website Upgrade and Email Updates

Over the last few weeks, I have been upgrading the Nevada Creek Water User’s website.  The purpose of this upgrade has been to improve our ability to provide more readily available information in a more timely manner concerning irrigation waters in the Upper Nevada Creek Drainage.  The process of implementing the new website backend program, and reformatting the old site files to the new site, is now complete.

Part of this upgrade has included the ability to post water related updates to the website for viewing online, plus have those updates be automatically emailed to those of you who would want to receive them in your inbox as they are posted.  These “email water updates” will mostly pertain to…

  • water supply outlook & information
  • canal operations
  • changes to creek flows & related water rights status
  • W.U.A. notices / schedules

You will need to Subscribe

In order to receive these email updates, you will need to subscribe to them.  It’s a simple process with NO logging in, passwords or anything to remember.  To do so,

  1. At the N.C.W.U.A. website, go to the lower right-side menu column.  Find the menu box titled “Subscribe to Email Updates”.
  2. In the appropriate entry boxes, enter your name and email address.
  3. Click the “Subscribe” button.
  4. Check your email inbox for the verification message.
  5. Click the link in that email to verify your email address.
  6. That’s all.  You will now receive the updates as they are posted.
    1. You will be able to “unsubscribe” at any time, as there will be an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every update.

I am forwarding this message to all of the current addresses in the old Water User’s mailing list.  Because that mail list is quite old, I know that many of the email addresses either no longer exist, or are for those who no longer want to receive these mailings.  Therefore, this will be the last mailing using this old list.  You will have to subscribe on the new website to receive future email updates.

If you have questions, or would rather have me manually enter your address in the new system, send me an email to the address linked to my name, below…
