Douglas canal has now been turned off for six days.\u00a0 While several sections of the canal do not completely de-water, conditions have been favorable and effective in knocking back the growth of pondweed & moss in the canal.\u00a0 It is reasonable to say that the canal could be re-started as soon as this Saturday, the 11th.\u00a0 But, if there is no immediate irrigation demand another day or two would provide greater effect on the weed growth.\u00a0 Therefore, I would like to request that any irrigators on Douglas canal please contact me if you want to begin taking irrigation water on or before next Monday, July 13th.<\/p>\n
