Excessive pond weed growth is greatly restricting flows through upper portions of Douglas creek canal, creating over-topping and leakage issues.\u00a0 Therefore as of current, I am restricting flows through these sections to 40 cfs total flow until mitigation of the weed growth can be accomplished.<\/p>\n
In order to compensate for this restriction, all current contract usage will be cut by ~30%, decreed use will be honored in total.\u00a0 For those contract users who are waiting for turn on, there are current users who will be completed within the next 1-3 days, so that water will be traded down for those who are awaiting.<\/p>\n
Our contractor is attempting to get set up and moved in to begin with vegetation removal by this Friday, so hopefully Douglas canal can be back to somewhat normal operation by the first of next week.\u00a0 My apologies for this inconvenience, this issue could & should\u00a0 have been avoided.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
