The snotel on Nevada Ridge is currently reporting 0.0 inches of s.w.e., effectively indicating the end of the record snow pack and runoff for the Nevada Creek drainage.\u00a0 Creek flows still remain above average for this date, but have been steadily receding through the past few days.\u00a0 At the current rate of decline, we can anticipate the flows to drop off the spillway at the dam within the next 7 to 10 days.\u00a0 The change from flood water to contract usage would soon follow.\u00a0 As always, substantial rain events can alter this time frame.<\/p>\n
Both Douglas and North canals are currently in operation.\u00a0 While creek flows are receding, the creek is still running too high & fast to allow the installation of the diversion structures for these canals.\u00a0 Therefore, maintaining constant flow into the canals will be variable.\u00a0 Irrigators are asked to be patient with these fluctuations until installation of the diversion structures can be accomplished.<\/p>\n
