In order to conserve reservoir storage, I do not plan to start either canal until there is demand. I do not plan any pre-charging\/flushing of the canals to begin this irrigation season. Irrigators on either Douglas or North canals will need to contact me<\/strong> to let me know when you would like to start receiving water through the canal system. Hopefully, we can arrange start-up so that there is enough initial demand to better utilize our storage & minimize losses in delivery.<\/p>\n Nevada creek flows have remained well below normal. The recent rain has picked up the flow minimally, but the current 3-period average flow for decreed rights is only at 20.2 cfs, or 808mi<\/strong>. There is currently only 1 irrigator calling for decreed water downstream of the dam, but when I receive other calls, these rights will drop off rapidly. Decreed water user’s should plan on very restricted availability of decreed water.
