Upstream flows into Nevada Creek reservoir have increased sharply over the past 3 days.  At current rates, the reservoir will reach capacity and begin spilling within the next 14 days.  With construction work currently taking place on our Douglas Creek Canal diversion, this type of unregulated flow would be very disadvantageous.  Therefore, I have begun an incremental series of increases to the dam release in order to delay spilling for a longer period.  Changes to this release will be managed accordingly with variations in upstream reservoir inflows.  I would anticipate some slowing to those flows, but this is wholly dependent upon weather conditions.
