Creek flows for the Upper Nevada Creek Drainage have dropped steadily over the last weekend. This has resulted in a corresponding drop in the available flow for decreed water rights, although current contract trades are helping to keep more rights available. It is expected that this trend will continue though the next few days, so everyone can anticipate lowering flows along with fewer water rights being available.
The current cut-off date for decreed water in 06-10-1889. The updated listing can always be viewed at Current Status of Irrigation Rights. Please adjust your water usage appropriately. Your communication with me on your usage plans are appreciated.
Water Supply Outlook: The N.R.C.S. has released their Water Supply Outlook Report for June. There are no big surprises in it… Nevada creek is expected to flow at 40% of normal for the June through July period, and 46% of normal for the period June through September. My own unofficial observations have been that we have seen flows of 35% of normal over the last weeks, excepting the last week during the rains.
Thanks again for your attention and cooperation.
